This small apartment located a few meters away from the Luxembourg garden needed a complete makeover. The project layout is simple and efficient, quite the opposite from the original one, which had corridors and tiny and cramped spaces. Here there is the night area and the day area, separated by a corridor which is also the entrance. On the nightside, a bedroom and a bathroom as well as a dressing room, on the day side, a big light open space with the kitchen, dining room and living room. Lots of closets and a big bench in the living room that can easily accommodate a guest . The windows on both sides allow a great natural ventilation and lots of light.
The kitchen is a key element, it is made of brasilian quartzite and smoked oak wood. The materials of the apartment are noble, durable and elegant. Because it is destined to be rented for several years, the subject of durability was key.

Ce petit appartement situé à 2 pas du jardin du Luxembourg avait besoin d’être entièrement repensé. Le plan du projet est simple et efficace et contraste avec le plan d’origine, avec des couloirs et des pièces exigües: Un côté jour et un côté nuit séparés par un couloir d’entrée. une chambre à coucher, une salle de bains spacieuse d’un côté et un grand espace de vie cuisine /salle à Manger/Salon baigné de lumière . Tout cela avec beaucoup de rangements et une banquette que les dimensions permettent de transformer en lit d’appoint. Le côté traversant permet une bonne ventilation naturelle.
La cuisine est un élément clé, en quartzite du brésil et chêne fumé, elle donne le ton. Les matériaux sont nobles, durables et élégants. L’appartement étant destiné à la location pendant plusieurs années, le sujet de durabilité des matériaux était essentiel.
